There is nothing wrong if you work in my dream to learn how to build your own a wise man once said. Everything is however wrong with when you steal the blocks of another man’s dream to build your own. What I have seen and experienced in life is that loyal men are becoming a rarity these days. You give someone a job, you trust them only to discover later that they were using the position you gave them to steal your clients or your jobs and diverting the proceeds to their pocket. All the while you thought they were loyal to you. No, they were loyal to their evil intentions. It’s so hard to believe that the person you trusted had been busy bad-mouthing your business and you before your client’s.
You send someone to do a job only to realise later what they were doing was using your time, money, resources etc to set up their own business. There are even some who were discovered practically handed over their bosses business secrets or recipes to a competitor. For some, you do everything for them in the time when they had troubles, but when you now need their help or support they are nowhere to be found. Betrayal is real and very painful. It takes God to recover from it.
This and other life experiences was what led to my writing this poem. Read and be blessed.
Betrayal is a lance
Viciously thrust in the heart of the trusty by the wicked
Leaving one stranded on the island of pain and sorrow
Shocked, lonely and wondering if this “is really happening”.

Shocked and lonely
As surely as men live and die
Mortal man must experience betrayal
In the unfolding of time, events and seasons
Every man shall surely encounter the snitcher.
Loyalty is dead, the squealers are alive
Diseased rats crawling everywhere
Make haste and hide your secrets as nothing is sacred to them
You will be forced to understand when you are betrayed.
Betrayal is painful
The fountain of loyalty is dried up
The river of betrayal is brimming with vicious sharks
In satisfying your thirst for fellowship with other humans
Watch where you drink and whom you drink with.
Keeping a close eye to avoid being betrayed
Keep a close eye on the masquerades that have joined your cause.
They who are adept at wearing the disarming mask of friendship
They kill quickly with the poison of their forked tongues
And like the python, wait behind to asphyxiate their victims.
Where then can the betrayer be found
Amidst of the folks you trust
He always comes from the direction you least expect
He smiles the widest and his “yes sir” the loudest.
SELAH.

Betrayal is painful, it takes a lot to forgive a betrayer. At the end the betrayer still looses while we triumph.

Hmm, that’s true sir. Betrayal is real and painful. Especially when it’s from someone so trusted. May God help us.
