A mother’s battle
Though heavy and tenuous
Scratch, scream, bite or beg
She does the needful, even getting help from the IMMORTALITY THAT DWELLS IN THE THIRD HEAVEN.

A mother’s battle
The weight of the baby means nothing
The pain and the kicks mean joyous something
Then the push, the sweat, the cries to God, then the cries of the man born.
From then on, her lamp never goes out night or day
Loves and cares as long as her heartbeats
Poops, diapers, burps, and wahhhhs
Her indefatigable hands keep working even when her patience has worn out.
A mother’s battle
Fought with prayers, sacrifices, tears and compromises
Teacher, trainer, motivator and even more
She even dims her light so that the light of her baby’s destiny will shine brighter.
Then when the years steal away her youth and vigour
One weak step after the other
She still soldiers on fighting for her baby
Cos, that what you are Mr grown man.

It is unimaginable how these mere mortals grace round and about like heavenly creatures with the weight of a thousand hanging at their back. She works every day of her life for souls that she pushed forth into the world. A day can’t cut to celebrate these perfect material stretched from the best cut of yarn. Such a lovely peace!
