Man is never satisfied.
“The question: ‘At what point is my ego finally satisfied?’ The answer: ‘At no point’. And that is the point.”
― Craig D. Lounsbrough
Have you ever seen a discontented butterfly
Saying “life was great when I was a caterpillar”
“Oh the good old days and the fun we had in the wormy cocoon”
He is content in his beautiful suit flying from flower to flower
############################
Have you heard of a discontented tree
Moaning to all on being rooted to a spot
Or being pushed about by the blowing winds and stoned by erratic kids
No, he is a tree and happy being just that.
############################
Did the rose ever say, “God, made a mistake”
I smell nice and girls like me”
“But he put thorns on my beauty”
“How unfair”.
############################
The Tortoise never complained of being too slow
Never heard him say “why can’t I fly into the sky”
“Why did God give me these short legs”
He is content with his shell enjoying absolute privacy.
############################
The black aims to become fair-skinned
The fair, coveting the tan
Plump is told “skinny is so lit“
How can the greedy ever be ever satisfied?

One old man once told me that man can never get enough of good things, that the only thing that man will ever say enough to is sickness and pain. Greed is negative and its wrong for one person to have so much and still desire more, when others have little or nothing. We should share the little we have with those who don’t have especially now.

Greed And Discontentment Go Hand In Hand. If People Would Learn To Be Content With What They Have, Be Comfortable And Realise The Beauty And Uniqueness Of Their Personalities, And Aspire To Achieve More The Legit Way Without Envy Of The Next Man, The World Would Be A Much Better Place. This Is A Good Read

Hmmmm! Dan maraya’s song comes to mind! ‘In anyi ruwa, ace anyi ruwa, in anyi rana ace anyi rana’ ……(if it rains, we say it rains, if it’s sunny, we still complain…).
‘Godliness with contentment is great gain’ (1Tim. 6:6).

Lovely poem sir. One has to show gratitude to God for He created all things, in Perfection, and we must see ourselves and his creation in that light.
