Remember the following text:

“Make yourself, before you market yourself”

Ghostwriters can get very impatient. The pressure to generate income quickly has led many to undervalue their services. They make the mistake of trying to market themselves before they have established themselves as skilled writers.

To begin to scale in ghostwriting, there is what to be and to do.

The writers you see up there didn’t attend a two-week technical writers course and then started charging premium prices.

Jeremy Blachman, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, Alan Axelrod, Katherine Anne Porter, Michelle Shusterman, and Nicolas Cole are all top writers. They didn’t post a few videos or blog posts and then emerged as top ghostwriters.

To become as phenomenal as these writers, focus on personal and professional development.

You have to become a consistent hard worker.

Write about what you love.

Write the subject from various angles. Write and post anywhere that can get a pair of eyeballs on your writing.

From Linkedin, Medium, and Facebook, to Quora, etc. Get on Podcasts, YouTube, and TikTok to talk about what you write on. After a while, people will start associating you with writing and with your subject of passion.

Whenever I post a video on YouTube, I repurpose the same on TikTok, X, and my blog. (www.ovyay.com). Try this for a while and over time, people will start noticing you.

Scatter your seeds like the Sower who went to sow, a popular story in the Bible. Some will grow, some will die. Some will bear fruit from sixty-fold to 100fold if you don’t give up or get discouraged. Through  persistence and dedication, you can establish yourself as an authority in your field.

Become known, you won’t struggle to pick up clients or charge premium prices. You earn higher when the client sees you as an authority in that writing field. Your body of work will speak for itself, showcasing your expertise and reliability to potential clients.

Remember, establish yourself as a writer of substance before you start marketing your services.
