How can I help you
When I am in my own hell
Fires of lack burning me
The pain of paucity is all I see.
How can I help you
When I am caged
In the prison of my thoughts
Memories of helplessness assail me.
How can I help you
When all I have
Is all I don’t want
All I want is what I don’t have.
How can I help you
When what turns me on
Turns you off and what
turns me off, turns you on.
How can I help you
When I need help myself
I dialed for help
Phone ringing off the hook.
Every day I fly like a drone
To the land of my desires
Hovering and watching helplessly
If wishes were horses….?
Ah, the pain of unmet desires
A hurting open wound
Festering in hot sun helplessness
Whilst watching servants riding on horses.
Another day in the city of lack
Where men want but never get
Embracing exiguity with dignity
I guess hell is always on fire.
Selah.
