The umbrella is better than the broom

The broom is better than the umbrella

The game of musical chairs has begun

A king we must enthrone.

Strange bed fellows in a vicious zero sum game

The dog espoused to the cat

The lion and the deer in deadly romanticising

A king we must enthrone.

The gladiators are out

Seasoned political brokers, robbers and dribblers

Deceiving and promising with pizzaz

A king we must enthrone.

A king we must enthrone

Crown me they all cry

Confusion and wisdom dancing “shaku shaku”

Chameleons changing colours and changing sides

A king we must enthrone.

Think and follow peace

The craziness in democracy

Turning bloodlines to warlines

Peace if I win, war if you win

A king we must enthrone.

Mandate won, mandate lost

Runs, reruns, courts, violence and peace

This is the bed we made, on it we shall lie

A king we have enthroned.

Please let’s remember to pray for Nigeria concerning the 2019 elections. Let’s avoid violence and embrace peace. We are all brothers and sisters. Nigeria belongs to all of us. God will still be God. Amen.
