Like a river that ebbs and rises
Life is filling the earth that death is emptying
Nobody knows when his turn will come
Alive today, dead tomorrow, the story of the mortal man.

When I am rich, I will be happy they say
Yet the rich also cry
Whether in a Limo or in a beetle
Sorrow is an unpalatable dish served to the rich and poor.

Six feet for the pauper
Six feet for the wealthy
Six feet for the wise and the fool
At the end, all flesh rots the same.

Beautiful and shapely
Ugly and shapeless
In the morgue, I have seen
All flesh lies the same.

To be ambitious is good
Hustle is great
But the waiting doom for mortal man is this
All men die taking nothing with them.

To what then use is the rat race called living
When what is yours today, belongs to another tomorrow

Beauty, honor, properties and all
Vanities that never escorted any man to the grave.

What then is the place of wisdom in all this
What is the message from understanding
Live for God now, I say live
As repentance is impossible in the world of the dead.
SELAH.

Absolutelt true! Vanity upon vanity!!
It’s just the whole one is alive, one has to keep hustling cos the flesh and the spirit both need food. Else you find some dead while living. So to live life one keeps striving.
Great work my brother. Always interesting and inspiring. Gets one to meditate more.
At the end is it really ever worth all the troubles?
A big question begging for answers.
Thanks.

Absolutely. Everything we are pursuing is vanity. But as humans, we realise that truth too late. The moment we get it, life will begin to make sense. God bless Sir.

Solid truth Sir. Many behave as if they don’t need God till its too late.
