The Poetry in paradoxical thoughts.

A wise man said:

Some are so rich all they have is money.

And I say :

Some as so poor all they have is misery.

Which is better?

Poverty with misery?

Money with misery?

I have seen a short man marry a tall woman.

I have seen a tall man married to a short woman.

I have seen the beautiful marry the ugly.

With a man and woman, never say never.

They say you can’t spell female without male.

I say the male is incomplete without the female.

For out of the man came the woman.

Out of the woman, came man.

I have seen the eater become eaten.

I have seen bitter taste sweet.

I have seen the weak defeating the strong.

But I have never seen the lie become the truth.

It’s a free world they say.

Yet the goat does not bark.

Neither does the dog roar.

Men do not fly.

Will time travel ever be?

I have heard the thunderous footsteps of the ant,

The earth-shaking drop of a crumb of bread.

The ear-shattering sound of a falling feather.

What is the color of the life in a man?

The eyes are never tired of seeing.

Nor the ear weary of hearing.

The palms never grow hair.

Nor does a woman’s butts complain of wriggling.

Do the dead truly rest in peace?

Is the grave really quiet?

Some die as if they never lived.

Some live as if they will never die.

The casket is golden.

The casket is wooden.

At the end of it all.

Six feet to the poor.

Six feet to the rich.

Three feet to the villain.

No man lives forever.

Selah.

Everyone will die one day. What will be the thoughts and reactions of those left behind? Random thoughts? Good thoughts will lead to good actions. Live wisely, die knowing your eternal destination.

Such a beautiful poem! Made me think too. A lie never becomes the truth but I’ve seen people believing in a lie until it becomes a truth for them, so sad.

Wow thanks for your comments. 🙏🙏. You are quite right sadly many have trusted in lies and believed that was the truth. My native people have a saying “no matter the long leg of lies, one day, truth will catch up with it”
